Hello everyone, thanks for coming over to visit.....
No.1 and I are away at the moment, enjoying some time in warmer climes....
Byron Bay to be precise.
It's a beautiful spot, the weather at this time of the year is just 'perfick' no humidity, yeeeeees!!
Some stitchy time was had in the park by the beach this afternoon.
No. 1 playing some tunes and me knitting this Fly Agaric toadstool from my new book.......
It was a little bit tricky dicky and some fudging took place but I am making headway...

The day started off the best way with eggs Benedict for my chauffeur hehe.....
He needs to keep up his energy for the sightseeing tour...
Shall we take a little wander around the town?

Byron Bay is a mecca for back packing tourists and bikes are an easy way to get around town.
Can't beat a turquoise treadly with a wicker basket....
After lunch our sightseeing tour took us to Bangalow.
A lovely little town up in the hills....
I spied one 4 legged local waiting patiently for his 2 legged mate.....
I wonder what he was thinking?
Heading back down to Lennox Head for a wander along the beach, keeping an eye out for sea glass.......
No sea glass to be found this time but a rather colourful Starfish..

I admire you my dear, those toadstools look very ambitious! Can't wait to see what you get up to with these.
ReplyDeleteThe breakfast looks amazing and has me salivating.
I'm glad to know you are also an avid sea glass hunter. I haven't seen any in ages and I wonder if that is because all our litter is plastic now?
Have a wonderful break, winter will wait for you.
Love T
Such a beautiful part of the world. love Piglet and Poo's philosophy If you're passing through the Hunter please do call in for a cuppa!
ReplyDeleteSounds fabulous, have a wonderful break
ReplyDeleteIt is such a tonic to see those lovely sunny shots with all that colour. We are just waking up properly to summer here in the UK after a long chilly spell. Seeing your colourful photos makes me all the happier.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time Claire, it looks beautiful. You will have to leave some crochet somewhere!! Liz xx
ReplyDeleteAw, lovely knitted toadstools - me like a lot! You MUST leave some yarn-bombing evidence as a mark of your visit - particularly if it is 'virgin' territory, hehe! :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun x
Yarn bombing? Australia says yes! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us on the tour with you - it's lovely to take a sneaky look around new parts of the world! :-)
ReplyDeleteKnitted toadstools?!? What a wonderful idea!!!

Makes me feel warm just looking at those photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm way behind with my blog reading so I'm commenting on a few of your posts at once.
ReplyDeleteI loved the new bunny and the hedgie brooch. The knitting book looks really good, I can't wait to see the finished toadstool and what else you make.
I had to laugh at the dog peeping through the door, waiting for it's owner. I can imagine it easing itself through the door little by little!
The sea looks absolutely gorgeous!
